For a very long time, it has been believed that personal problems should be dealt with internally, especially when it comes to the workplace. Very often employees are told to “leave it all at the door” when entering the office setting. That mindset is both unfair and dangerous, as work is a huge part of the employee’s life, and not being able to reach out and ask for help from something that they have dedicated their life to is disheartening to say the least.
