Seventy-eight percent of the employees surveyed by Epignoisis want their employers to provide career and skills training, and over half stated that they wanted additional training in order to perform better in their roles. Of those who received soft skills training, 76% said they have no plans to leave their company.

The issue faced by many businesses is trying to accomplish these training goals in a virtual environment. With many offices still not being fully open, or open at all, employees still want and need the opportunity to improve their skills, but virtual learning can be difficult.

By providing learning and development opportunities directly, companies are effectively showing workers that they are invested in their future. By providing those opportunities in an environment that makes the employees comfortable, it shows that the company values more than just the end result, it values the feelings of the employees as well.
